The score is so rich, so varied and so damn good it has to be one of the most instantly recognizable soundtracks of the '80s. Bernstein using a mix, of horns, woodwind, synths and a full orchestra to create something that feels like it was recorded in another world. It’s playful, eerie, foreboding and exciting all at once.
