"G. I. Jive" radio show transcription disc. Two complete 15 minute radio programs on this 16 inch, vinyl, 33 1/3 rpm disc. This disc was issued to Armed Forces Radio Service stations for broadcast to U. S. troops overseas during the World War Two era and not available to the general public, very rare!
"G. I. Jive" radio program #1231 hosted by "G. I. Jill" who serves as disc jockey and plays records requested for U. S. Troops overseas. Records played include "Leave Us Leap" Gene Krupa, "Into Each Life Some Rain Must Fall" Ella Fitzgerald & The Ink Spots, "Along The Navajo Trail" Dinah Shore, "Boogie Woogie" Tommy Dorsey. 15 minutes

Programs were meant to be broadcast to servicemen overseas, Excellent World War Two Era nostalgic broadcasts!
Disc is in Excellent- Condition with Excellent- Sound, Beautiful Disc! There is some surface noise during the opening of program #1232
Due to their size, 16 inch discs will not play on most standard turntables. I will include a CD dub of the disc for the buyer only
