Description
An original pressing of the Sayin Somethin'! album by the Gigi Gryce Quintet on New Jazz (NJLP 8230).
The purple and silver label reads: "NEW JAZZ A product of Prestige Records Inc., 203 S. Washington Ave., Bergenfield, N.J." "RVG" is machine-stamped in the trail off. The matrix reads: "NJLP-8230." It's also worth noting that this vinyl feels heavier than some of other New Jazz releases I have up for sale.
The cover is definitely clean with some very slight ring wear on the front cover (almost unnoticeable). The back cover has a couple scuffs. There are also two purple-ish stamp marks on the back ("INSP. BY 49" and half a "W"). The corners are dinged a bit. The bottom right is split about a half inch.
The vinyl is VG (7 out of 10, used with some light scuffs). I give the A-side a 7 for some scuffs. The b-side is more of a 6 because of some finger prints and marks that don't immediately come up with the ole record discwatcher. They produce some slight audible hiss (or in some cases nothing that I could hear). None of them actually caused skipping on my player. This LP comes from a non-smoking home. The record you see in the picture is the record you will receive.
