This is the 1954, Flat Rim, first edition, Deep Groove, 10" pressing of GIL MELLE QUINTET's "Featuring Tal Farlow" on the deep groove "Vogue" labels of British Vogue L.D.E. 141. All Music licensed from Blue Note Records, New York. Musicians include Clyde Lombardi, Joe Morello, Tal Farlow, Gil Mellé, Urbie Green.
63-year-old 10" FLAT RIM VINYL plays nicely with consistent low level surface noise (i.e, static, crackle, ??,????,relative to the volume of the music/instruments), with occasional pops and ticks. Ensemble sections are very dynamic and strong, clear, clean and powerful. No skips. No locked grooves. No warps. Handful of hairline marks, none feelable. The Deep Groove British "Vogue" labels are clean. See photos.
LAMINATED COVER is in VERY good condition. No splits. Ringwear. Corners worn, one peeling. See photos. Original British fold-over back jacket nearly pristine. Some tears at opening. See photos.
This LP was play tested. RECORD CLEANED ON VPI 16.5 VINYL CLEANER.
