Description

Original UK 1971 first pressing of this seriously rare LP: Ginhouse - Ginhouse – CAS 1031

A power trio with a difference, straddling early Heavy Metal and Prog with style and ease. I’ve never been able to understand why they’re not better known.

The vinyl is mint, if you accept this term for a record that has been played a few times.

The gimmick gatefold cover shows some light wear around the edges (mainly the corners), and a little ring wear (what you can see in the scan at the top is the only noticeable ring wear). But there is no serious damage: no splits, tears, stains or creases, and the delicate die-cut pocket and flap (where you actually put the record) are in perfect condition.

Both labels (Black/Green B&C) are perfect: no writing, stickers, tears or spindle marks.

I'm selling off the records I collected between 1968 and 1988, because I have realised that although I prefer vinyl in theory, I hardly ever listen to them anymore, as I've got most of the music on CD reissues now.

I bought these records new, and have taken great care of them. I have played all of them a few times, but on good equipment, and when I take them out of their sleeves, I don't touch the playing surface, and I always put them back in their sleeves immediately. They are stored correctly, so they are not warped.
This means that my records still sound practically as new, without any scratches or any other damage. If you turn the treble up, you might hear the occasional soft click or faint crackling between tracks or in very quiet passages, but this is usually due to the pressing. (If you have been a collector for a while, you‘ll know that 100% perfect pressings are not all that common.)
The vinyl looks perfect in normal daylight, but under very bright light you can see some faint superficial lines (but can't you always?)
I will carefully describe any flaws that go beyond this, including substandard pressings; otherwise you can assume that the above description applies.

I will describe the covers individually, because I think here generalisations are pretty useless for the buyer. This will make some of them sound less perfect than they actually are, because I will focus on the flaws (rather than tell you how fantastic they still look). If there is a problem with the cover, I will always show this area in the scan, as I want you to know what to expect.
One generalisation: I NEVER write on covers or labels.

If you have any questions, please contact me. I can also email you scans of any other part of the cover or labels if you give me your email address.

Please check out my other stuff. I'm going to auction off quite a few of my albums over the next few months. Coming up: More of the same, but also Funk, Post Punk, Industrial ... POSTAGE

Priority Post is usually pretty fast, but Economy Post takes about two weeks in Europe and even longer to the rest of the world, so you'll need some patience if you go for this option.
I always post the records the day after I receive payment (or even on the same day) - there is nothing else I can do to speed up delivery. In some countries (e.g. Italy) the postal service seems to be very unpredictable; there even Priority Post can take a month or so.
Priority and Economy will have different names on the invoice, because I have not found out how to adapt the invoice accordingly, but I'm sure you'll see which is which.
If these prices seem high to you, let me assure you that I do not make a profit on the postage - Swiss Post is expensive.

Switzerland:

B-Post:
£2.70 (for 1 or more items)
A-Post is just one day faster, so it's really not worth it.

Europe:

Economy (slow):
1 item: £3.60
2 items or more: £5.50

Priority (fast):
1 item: £5.90
2 items or more: £8.90

Rest of the world:

Economy (slow):
1 item: £4.50
2 items or more: £7.90

Priority (fast):
1 item: £8.10
2 items or more: £14.50

Registered mail
I'll send all parcels worth £50 or more by registered mail (no extra cost for the buyer).
If your total is less than £50, add £2.40 if you want me to send your parcel by registered post.
