Description

TREASURED first pressing of new wave band's critically-acclaimed debut album from 1981 - bought by me when released and kept with care ever since.
Semi-gloss outer cover, inner sleeve, insert and both sides of vinyl are all in very good+ condition - and so is the (partly complete) pleasure bag given away with first 10,000 copies.
Some shelf wear/creasing around outside edges of outer cover, corners are still crisp/square and artist/album name clearly visible along the still-square spine. Both faces (front and back) are free of significant dings/dents - but the opening edge shows signs of creasing/being handled and there is a little ringwear starting to show through.
Original plain paper inner sleeve is very good+. Die-cut corners are crisp and seams are nice and tight. Just a few signs are being pulled in and out of outer sleeve.
Album-sized insert, with song lyrics printed red on black on both sides, is sin excellent condition, with crisp corners and very little signs of use/wear.
Pleasure Bag - flagged on front cover with special sticker (see photo) - is in very good+ condition and contains one postcard (excellent) and the pleasure symbol stencil (one crease) but not the other items (sticker and second postcard).
Paper Happy Birthday labels are near-perfect.
Vinyl has some mild surface marks - mostly consistent with being played on good-quality hi-fi separates system, some not - and retains some of its original gloss. "BILBO TAPE" and RULP-1-A2"" etched into A side runout, with "BILBO TAPE" and "RULP-1-B2" etched into B side runout. Play tested before listing and sounds good.
Side one tracks: Pleasure, Too Big For Your Boots, I'm Beautiful Now, Waterbed Babies, Fun-City Teenagers, £600,000. Side two: Heaven, China Blue, Fast Boyfriends, She Flipped, Goodbye To That Jazz.
BUY TWO OR MORE LPs and pay only one lot of postage. Contact me BEFORE YOU PAY and I'll adjust the invoice.
