This ORIGINAL Jamaican Upsetter Records single is a high-grade, hypnotic, bubbling Black Ark track for truths, right & social justice featuring The Gladiators' Clinton Fearon & released in the mid 1970s in Jamaica. Clinton sings "Sometimes I feel like crying, dying; when I see my brothers on the street, searching for something to eat; I come to one conclusion, this is a message to the nation; heap of blood make it run, fire make it burn; because there is no solution, to this endless revolution; get up stand up, stand up get up...." As David Katz writes about this period in his amazing book PEOPLE FUNNY BOY -The Genius Of Lee "Scratch" Perry, "(Clinton) Fearon would later cut the stunning 'Warning To The Nation' at the Black Ark, credited on release to Tony Fearon." 'Produced & Directed by Upsetter L. Perry' printed on both labels. Song credited to T. Fearon.
