Description

Vinyl excellent in original (slightly worn) white paper inner sleeve; minor wear to lower corners of cover. This is the version where side A has a silver label with black lettering.

Branca’s influential debut album, for which he assembled a band featuring four electric guitarists (including Lee Ranaldo, later of Sonic Youth, one of the bands most influenced by Branca), one bassist and one drummer. It comprises five tracks, the two longest of which are “The Spectacular Commodity,” a title inspired by the writings of Guy Debord, and the title track, named in tribute to the works of Olivier Messian and John Coltrane. 


David Bowie would list this as one of his favorite albums.
