GLORIA JONES :  "Tainted Love" (2 Versions / 45RPM)  +  10 Northern Soul Classics

An interesting and rare collectible, pressed only in the UK:

Side A plays 45RPM and is designed as a 12" Maxi Single, featuring two versions of Gloria Jones' classic song "Tainted Love", one her 1964 original recording and the second an "All-Night" version she recorded in 1976.

Side B plays 33RPM and features a terrific compilation of various artists who recorded Northern Soul classics.

The wax is essentially flawless, looks and plays "like new" ... and is enclosed in its original heavy duty poly sleeve, on which appears a red colored promotional sticker. 

Gloria Jones began her singing career in a church choir and moved on to sing in Phil Spector "Wall Of Sound" recording sessions as well as working with Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Billy Preston and Harry Nilsson.  Her career was further advanced when she linked up with the legendary Marc Bolan of T-Rex, with whom she had a son.

Wax is play graded (not just visually graded), employing Goldmine Price Guide standards.

As I take great care to accurately describe my items, I do not accept returns unless my item description is incorrect.

All records are packaged with the wax outside the jacket (to avoid seam split in transit), enclosed in a plastic sleeve and shipped in robust record mailer boxes via USPS Media Mail, tracking included.
