Year of Release: 1959

What I have on sale today is a rare original PROMO PRESSING of the "Go, Johnny Go" soundtrack which features the who's who of 50's Rock and Roll with the likes Jimmy Clanton, Chuck Berry, Sandy Stewart, Jo Ann Campell, Jackie Wilson, Eddie Cochran, Harvey Of The Moonglows, The Cadillacs, The Flamingos and Ritchie Valens listed on the front as "The Late Ritchie Valens".The movie actually came out right after Valens died along with the The Big Bopper and Buddy Holly. 

As mentioned above this is a promo copy with "promo copy, not for sale" on the label (please see photo attached) there was no specific record label for this release.

Matrix (or Trail-Off) numbers read an etched "GJG-A" and "4?1?59" for Side 1; and "4?1?59" and "GJG-B" for Side 2. The dates are not visible in the label photos.

LP - Side 1 -  VG+ (couple of scratches, plays with a bit of noise),   Side 2 - VG + (couple of scratches, plays with a bit of noise) . 

This pressing is STUNNING.

Cover VG+ (has had some repairs done to the borders many years ago) , not bad looking after 50+ years !
