Description

TITLE/INFO: Hello - If you have an interest in great conditioned "oldies" of all varieties (in both vinyl and CD formats), please continue to check in on my site as I have many more items to sell yet in addition to what's already on the site -and thank you in advance. Today, I am continuing my selloff of 45s from the 70's-'80's, so if you're a fan, you just might be interested in this piece or any others I will be listing later this week/month. This "test pressing/promotional" single, with the hand written song title and group name on it's label, is by the super '80's group, The Go-Go's from 1981. The Go-Go's were a highly popular and successful all girl group that would later launch the solo careers of both Belinda Carlisle and Jane Wiedlen. In addition to the special test press copy it also comes with it's original picture sleeve - the same one that was sold with the standard release. The hit song is, "We Got The Beat" and it is pressed on both sides of this "promotional" record. The special 1981 single was released on the International Record Syndicate (I.R.S.) label and, as I've already mentioned, comes with it's original picture sleeve. Everything here is near mint condition - the vinyl looks as if it was never played at all - really!! Both sides of the record's label and the attractive picture sleeve are shown in the nine pictures above. So, please check out them all out and read on for more specific details on this single:

The Go-Go's -"We Got he Beat" (on both sides) from 1981 - White label "test pressing/promotional" release with no ID number - just a white label with hand written song the title and group name.  It is from I.R.S. Records and the vinyl looks like new and virtually unplayed - near mint for sure. The single also comes with a near mint picture sleeve featuring a back side photo of all the group members (again, see the pictures above).

INTERESTING FACTS: As always, I have begun the auction at a low opening bid and have no reserve price - just free and open bidding - so good luck! FYI, if anyone wants to bid on multiple items to save on postage costs, I am more than happy to "save" your winning pieces here at the house until you are ready for shipping - just tell me ahead of time, wait for my invoice (not EBay's), and pay for each item as you win them. In addition to this offer here, I will continue to list many other RnR/R&B LP's, 45's, and CDs by 1950-60's artists----and even some other '60's memorabilia, too. I am selling off my entire personal collection of records and "stuff", and there are 100's more items to list yet. Many of these still to be listed items are rare and hard to find, and most all of them are original and in near mint shape. So, please bookmark my site and check it out from time to time. GOOD LUCK BIDDING!!  If anyone ever needs more info than what is listed, please email me. I will respond! POSTAGE/HANDLING CHARGES: In the United States, the buyer agrees to pay $4.00 (Media Mail with Delivery Confirmation) for this 45. These are U.S. rates only, and any foreign winner will have to await an email me for their exact costs, although I will send a detailed invoice as soon as the auction is over---but, there too, it is cheaper to send multiple pieces. The initial charges for overseas shipping are $22.00 for this 45 - but then much less per record after that. PLEASE NOTE: I will not be responsible for packages that are lost or damaged by either US or overseas Postal Services. However, for additional fees, I will gladly ship the packages Priority Mail and/or add insurance! Please email me with either, or both, requests if this is of interest to you. Also, please continue to check out "rogersrecords" on ebay for future collectible records of all types. There are many more to come!

I just noticed a small mistake from one of the "fill-in" boxes that precede my item description:

    1) The 45 is not on the Capitol/EMI label - obviously. But instead, it in their I.R.S. label as I explained in the write up of the item description.... Thank you!
