Description
Hello and welcome to one of my auctions! I am a record collector for over 15 years now and I think it’s about time to sell a couple records to make some room and pass it on to another collector. This week’s auctions feature my Dutch Jazz, Dutch Beat and Dutch Progressive records that are from my own personal collection, so here we go!
On offer, a very rare first Dutch pressing of The Golden Earrings – Just Earrings on Polydor, cat no. 007.
The record is in VG+ condition, there are some non-sounding hairlines only. The labels are in VG+ condition as well, there are a couple spindle marks only.
The sleeve is in VG minus condition, the most damage is in the bottom section of the front. I think that this cover was stuck to another at one point, someone tried the pull them apart, leaving some tear marks. Most of these marks are in the red section and they have all been coloured in. The golden ring around the singer also has some damage, but this has not been coloured in. Further there is some wear and a split of approx. 4 cm on the spine and the back suffers from some age browning.
Despite it’s condition, the debut album of The Golden Earrings from 1965 (yes, their name was still in plural back then) is very hard to find as an original. Even the later 1970’s pressings are very hard to find. Although the cover is a bit tatty, the record plays great. These older pressings are on massive thick vinyl and can take a lot of damage before the sound quality deteriorates. This is your chance to obtain the very first Golden Earring LP! Happy Bidding!
