Description
I am selling a 12" LP by Gong: "Radio Gnome Invisible Part 1: Flying Teapot", from 1973 (green Virgin label), gatefold sleeve. I cannot guarantee sound quality as I don't have a record player on which to test it, but I would assume it is fine as I haven't found any scratches on the vinyl.
Matrix no: V2002 (Run-out groove etchings: V2002 A4E and V2002 B3E).
Ebay's Vinyl Condition Guide holds the following classifications, to which I adhere when selling my own records:-
MINT (M) = Never played, absolutely perfect - possibly even still sealed in its original packaging (this grade is rarely used as 99% of records have been opened or played).
NEAR MINT (NM or M-) = Nearly perfect. This is the very best grading you will find on a used record, as no record is ever truly perfect (not even some brand new ones).
VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+) = Shows signs of being played / handled. May have slight scuffs / light scratches but these don't affect the sound.
VERY GOOD (VG) = May have the same defects of a VG+ record but these will be more apparent and there may be surface noise when played. There may be groove wear or light scratches which affect the sound. There may be tape, stickers, labels or their residue on the sleeve.
GOOD / GOOD PLUS (G / G+) = Will have significant surface noise when played (but shouldn't skip) and surface scratches and groove wear will be apparent. The cover or sleeve may be ripped or defaced by writing and / or labels.
POOR / FAIR (P / F) = The record is cracked, badly warped and won't play through without skipping / repeating. Sleeve may be water-damaged or ripped on all 3 seams. Inner sleeve may be ripped, crinkled and have writing on it.
I am classifying this record as follows:-
Sleeve: VG+
Vinyl: NM
IF YOU REQUIRE MORE PHOTOS (OR CLOSE-UPS), PLEASE CONTACT ME AND I CAN EMAIL THESE TO YOU.
I have inherited a stack of vintage records (some rare) from a local DJ, so please check out my other items.
Good luck!
NB:- My postage costs reflect my petrol and packaging costs (envelopes, cardboard inserts, bubblewrap (where necessary), brown paper, tape, etc.). Please do not bid if you are not happy with my P&P price.
