Description
Up for auction is a copy of The Goon Show episodes 63 (Ten Snowballs That Shook The World) and 64 (The Curse of Frankenstein), pressed in minuscule quantities by the BBC Transcription Service for distribution to worldwide radio networks. I don’t have a date of manufacture, but the broadcast date seems to be 10/2/1958, with a rebroadcast on 28/2/1960 (these dates are written on the label). The record is a 10” LP playing at 33 rpm. However, it seems to be 1 disc of a set of two, part two of each show is missing. What a shame.
Condition: much rubbing & scuffing on the vinyl surface but everything plays through fine with clicks & pops, but no jumps. Apart from the handwritten dates, the labels are problem-free. Even so, I can’t grade this higher than G+.
My grades: I use a 10-point scale: M-; EX; VG+; VG; VG-; G+; G; G-; F (fair); P (poor). I never use mint as a grade for used records. I am a long-time (25+ years!) record collector, and play-grade where possible. I don’t use stock photos: the item in pictured here is the item for sale. My feedback from buyers indicates I normally undergrade in listings. Even so, if you have any problems, I'll give you your money back (less shipping costs), no questions asked. Buy with confidence!
