Description
On auction is an ORIGINAL 1973 MOBILE FIDELITY SOUND LAB or MFSL release by GORDON LIGHTFOOT / SUNDOWN on WARNER BROTHERS RECORDS as MFSL 1-018.
This record came from the estate of a former Director of Production Management for CBS Records who owned every record released during the years 1970 thru 1982. Steve kept his collection in near mint to mint condition...all housed in boxes on metal rafters in a closet where none of the boxes were stacked. Each box was sealed and all the records are in MINT shape. Most were promotional copies direct from the factory and some hadn't been shrink wrapped yet.
COVER = EXCELLENT MINUS (EX-) with no seam splits, light ring wear and frosting of slick from age, light edge wear and mild corner wear, no writing, no promo cuts or holes, no major creases...just slight signs of age...an AWESOME cover overall. Contains the typical MFSL cardboard insert and info sheet on other titles.
VINYL = SOLID EXCELLENT (EX) with plenty of gloss and shine, slight signs of paper scuffs or hairlines, nothing major like scratches...well taken care of MFSL. Housed in rice paper sleeve.
PLAY GRADED = SOLID EXCELLENT wityh minumal to almost no background interference...background is most pronounced during quite passages in songs or in-between tracks.
