HERE WE HAVE AN ORIGINAL UK ISSUE OF THE ILLUSIVE GORDON SMITH ALBUM WHICH ASIDE FROM FEATURING HIMSELF ON VOCAL'S, ELECTRIC & SLIDE GUITAR IT ALSO FEATURES PETER GREEN, JOHN McVIE, MICK FLEETWOOD and DEREK HALL. ORIGINALLY FROM Co. DURHAM HE WAS DISCOVERED BY TWO BLUES ENTHUSIASTS BUSKING IN THE PORTOBELLO ROAD AND IMMEDIATELY BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF ONE MIKE VERNON WHO INVITED HIM DOWN TO PLAY AT THE BLUE HORIZON CLUB IN BATTERSEA WHERE HE RECEIVED A RAPTUROUS RECEPTION. LATER THAT WEEK HE WAS ASKED TO RECORD SOME DEMO'S IN THE C.B.S. STUDIOS LONDON. THE NEXT STEP FOR THIS NEWLY DICOVERED TALENT WAS TO APPEAR ON THE SAME BLUES TOUR WITH FLEETWOOD MAC and DUSTER BENNET. THIS ALBUM THEN IS THE RESULT OF THOSE C.B.S. DEMO'S AND WHAT A REFRESHING BRITISH BLUES ALBUM IT IS!. THIS COPY IS IN CLEAN CONDITION BUT DOES HAVE SOME LIGHT SCUFF'S AND HAIRLINE SCRATCHES BUT NEVER THE LESS IS STILL A WORTHY ALBUM TO HAVE AND SOUNDS WONDERFUL. AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PHOTO'S THE SLEEVE IS BEAUTIFULLY CLEAN AND SQUARE WITH NO SEAM SPLITS OR WRITING AND STILL RETAINS IT'S ORIGINAL SHEEN ALTHOUGH IT HAS A METTALIC EXPORT STICKER THAT I BELIEVE HAS BEEN ON FROM NEW AS I BOUGHT THIS ORIGINAL UK COPY ON THE CONTINENT AND WITH A LITTLE CARE COULD EASILY BE REMOVED!. AS FOR THE RECORD IT IS PRESSED ON ORIGINAL THICK HEAVY UK VINYL AND DISPITE THE SURFACE MARKS THAT I'VE MENTIONED EARLIER IT DOES PLAY AND SOUND FABULOUS SO DONT BE PUT OFF AS IT IS A REASONABLE COPY AND GETTING INCREASINGLY HARDER TO FIND THESE DAY'S! ...
