GRADE 2 - "Mainstream View"- LP
This is a brand new LP, cellophane wrapped and unopened.
"Previously only released Germany, this first album from the young Grade 2, who were barely old enough to legally drive when this was recorded in 2016, is reintroduced to the world with several songs culled from their early Broken Youth EP and split with Saints & Sinners.
Adding new breath to the classic punk, Oi!, and street punk ilk, this album gets to a perfect start with the punchy guitar work and firm vocals of “All I Know,” and the trio continue the formula with anthemic, raw and harmonic punk rock sounds that are as timeless as they are frenetic.
Though there isn’t a bad tune present, “Rise Up” with its melodic backing vocals and swirling guitar melody is a standout, as is the hard hitting, raging, and ultra-catchy “Be The Better One,” which I’m certain has everyone singing in the pit when it’s played live.
Far from standard fare in punk rock today, the influence of The Jam, who Grade 2 often covered in the early days when they were strictly playing covers, is present and appreciated, and I have no doubt that current fans and new fans alike will find this repress absolutely essential." - Raw Noise Magazine
