Early United States Stereo pressing of this hard to find vinyl record album. The copy we are offering here has the blue note address listed as New York USA on both sides, with VAN GELDER and STEREO both stamped into the dead wax on both sides. The dead wax also has "The Ear" mark symbol on both sides. The cover lists the Blue Note address as 43 West 61st St., New York 23 on the back.
The recording features Grant Green, Johnny Coles, Joe Henderson, John Patton, and Ben Dixon.
COVER: The cover has some surface wear, edge wear, a couple of small surface tears on the back near the top, two names written on the back, an old address label on the front, and a red sticker on the front that reads "Your Special Order". The top seam has a 2 inch split on the right and the bottom seam has about 8 inches total of splitting. This cover grades VG.
VINYL: The record is clean and has some scuffing and mostly light scratching. Visibly it grades about VG. The LP is pressed on vintage heavy Blue Note vinyl and plays through well with a strong and pleasant sound. The Side 1 record label has a name written on it, and the Side 2 record label has an old address sticker.

With the exception of sealed LP's, all LP's are removed from their outer sleeves to prevent seam splitting.
All records are carefully graded. In an attempt to give customers an accurate impression of condition rather than adhere to somewhat arbitrary criteria, The Great Escape gives an "overall presentation" grade; we do not give a "listening" grade. Our vinyl listings are supplemented when necessary with additional remarks. For example: where some dealers will not allow a cut corner on an otherwise near mint jacket (often automatically relegating it to a VG+ at best), we may grade such a record as NM and note the cut-out mark (thereby letting you know what it "really" looks like: a near-perfect record with a cut corner). LPs are graded cover first, followed by the grade for the vinyl.
