Description

Hello,

This auction is for the official Record Store Day release of the Grateful Dead at Hampton Coliseum on May 4, 1979. This is over 90 minutes of music on two LP's. This has been sold out and unavailable for a long time.

1979 was a time of transition for the Dead. Keith and Donna left and Brent joined. This is one of his first few shows with the band and his energy is evident. His B3 playing especially could be blistering and would often give the band a little kick in the ass when needed.

The albums are in NM condition with no noticeable scratches or imperfections. The jacket is also in beautiful shape although I've noticed a slice down the spine. It looks like when they opened the box the records were shipped in, the box cutter caught the spine of this LP. I didn't notice it for a long time because it looks like part of the artwork until you look closely. All other aspects are like new and I am starting this quite a bit below what others have sold it for to compensate for the spine.

Thanks and please check my other auctions for more Grateful stuff including the 30 Trips Around the Sun box set. (USB version)
