This is the rare UK 1st Press of 'The Workingman's Dead' by The Grateful Dead. The press is complete with the earliest orange label, the earliest matrix and the earliest matt West Brothers sleeve, with the back cover pressed upside down. This press also has the scarce Kinney sticker on the sleeve.
The record is in Near Mint condition. The vinyl has the most superb bright gloss, it looks and sounds absolutely sensational. The label is completely clean, the orange is bold and the text is sharp. There is only the slightest spindle wear and a couple of spider marks. On playing the sound is warm, vibrant and exceptionally clear. There are a couple of moments of the slightest background noise but these are insignificant, it sounds fantastic.
The cover is in Excellent+ condition. The cream title is extremely bright and the brown is bold. The inverted back cover is exceptionally bright and completely clean. The sleeve is complete with the Kinney sticker. The spine is firm with sharp text and the whole sleeve still feels very solid.
