This pressing has become difficult to find in this Great New Sealed Condition. The album has been professionally stored and has never been opened, handled or played. Though this is only Graveyard's second album, they are known for their doom metal meets stoner rock debut album that brought them Stateside for a stellar and much hyped live event at South by Southwest in 2008. Since then, the band have acquired a remarkable maturity that takes them far beyond their roots and into truly unique territory. They are a band whose influences can be heard, but who blend the varied sounds into a coherent, original album that is absolutely faithful and devoid of irony. With Hisingen Blues, Graveyard have catapulted themselves into that rare space where authenticity is evident and effortless and the result is simultaneously catchy and surprising. Their natural understanding of both rock and the blues lends itself to a fluid sound that instantly transcends any retro tags. They have played with Witchcraft, Electric Wizard and Clutch though they would just as easily have fit in with bands like Cream and The Yardbirds. It's their ability to be timeless and innovative that makes them such a memorable and unique band. Hisingen Blues proves that rock's golden age may be long gone, but the best days are certainly not behind us if its students continue to bring the rock like Graveyard do.
