Description
Don't see this around much - original copy of Staircase to the Day by Gravy Train on Dawn records, 1974. This was their last album.
Record is VG+ - it plays through with a small amount of surface noise (explained by spindle marks!) and only 2 clicks (see below). It has hairline sleeve removal marks (which cannot be felt and which do not sound) and a number of spindle marks on the label.
There is a scuff on track 1 side 2 (which is non-feelable and which does not sound) and a fingernail mark on track 3 side 2. This cannot be felt but it does cause 2 clicks at the start of the track. Both these marks can be seen in the photo. The record comes in a new poly-lined inner.
Roger Dean-designed gatefold sleeve is VG+. In detail:
There is a bit of rubbing from the record on the rear of the sleeve, and at the bottom and top left. There is also a bit of rubbing on the front of the sleeve, at top centre (record outline) and at the bottom. Bottom right of front of sleeve has a bend, but this isn't all that noticeable. The back cover has a couple of small creases caused by taking the record out.
There are a few small bends on the spine, which is clear and readable. There is some rubbing to the very top and bottom of the spine (and a bump to the bottom of the spine), and there is a small split near the top of the spine. The delicate sleeve is overall quite tidy.
The record will be posted in a mailer with cardboard stiffeners. Postage is 1st class recorded delivery in the UK, international signed for otherwise.
