THE GREAT UNWASHED - Singles (Flying Nun DIRT001) - 12" EP - 1984
Tracks: Duane Eddy, Neck Of The Woods / Can't Find Water, Born In The Wrong Time, Boat With No Ocean.
Very nicely presented original pressing of this Flying Nun 12" EP featuring five tracks by The Great Unwashed, a post-The Clean project featuring David and Hamish Kilgour and Peter Gutteridge. The vinyl retains a very good / excellent sheen with just a few very light superficial surface marks - nothing significant - see the descriptions below. Most of the sleeves I have seen for this EP are either vibrant blues, greens, yellows and reds or plain blue, but this particular copy comes in pastel shades. In addition, it comes complete with a 32.5cm x 21cm flyer for Flying Nun Records, which lists releases from a variety of New Zealand bands, such as: The Clean, Tall Dwarfs, The Chills, The Stones, Children's Hour, The Builders, Marie & The Atom etc, plus a little dig at their Aussie neighbours.
A-side: There is just a very occasional tiny click. Grade - EX/EX+
B-side: There is just a very occasional tiny click plus a couple of slightly more prominent ones. Grade - EX-/EX up to EX/EX+
Labels: Both labels are near pristine (see scan).
Sleeve: The thin card sleeve shows a little light wear to the edges, light creasing to two corners, lightish creasing to the opening edge and a little discolouration around the outer border of the front cover.
Flyer: There is a neat fold across the centre of the flyer and some yellowing along the top edge (1cm in from the edge - but this is clear of all the text / graphics).
