Long time, no see! This record was recorded very close to where I live, and this is the first we've had to offer in several years~

VINYL: M- (Probably played once or twice at most!)

COVER: M- (Gorgeous silk-screened cover is about as nice as you are going to find. There is a light crease in the upper right portion of the jacket which may have occurred during the screening process. Usually when these records turn up--which is far from often--they have significant ring wear; not this one!)

INSERT: M- (Slight, relatively insignificant bend to one sheet, otherwise perfect)

Cool counterculture artifact from well-meaning hippies who spent two years perfecting their craft. Most collectors lament that there’s too much piano here but even the overlong ballads are good. This is a great album. The intelligent lyrics are foul-mouthed in a wholly appealing way, and the mellow music is very well-played. Nice little guitar parts come when you least expect them, giving energy to the quieter songs, and the vocals are confident in a laid-back way.

Treehouse Records is the current incarnation of a series of storied record stores at the corner of 26th and Lyndale in south Minneapolis. After becoming Oar Folkjokeopus in 1972 it quickly emerged as the epicenter for the burgeoning 70s and 80s Twin Cities punk scene. Renamed Treehouse in 2001 after the Oar Folk manager took over the business, the store remains a staple of the Twin Cities underground/independent music community and the best source for used vinyl in the state.
