Description

SETTLE IN FOR A LONG RUN OF COLLECTABLE LPs OF VARIOUS MUSICALS STYLES.  My Sunday bonus item this week is a reasonably priced ORIGINAL 1938 DECCA RECORDS U.S. PRESS 78 RPM RECORD containing the Trinidad calypso tunes titled 'History Of Woodbrook Vicinity' by The Growler with Clemons Smith And His Broadway Syncopators / 'Jim Congo Meyer' by Atilla The Hun and Lord Executor with Audley Francis Washboard Orchestra.  It is Decca Records U.S. catalog number 17391, blue 1930s-era Decca labels with gold print.  Condition of record is a low VG+ with a moderate to fair amount of surface marks which cannot be felt and do not affect play.   Record plays through nicely with the usual hissing surface noise associated with early 78s and a few very slight non-distracting ticks.  Record has no cracks, surface or sub-surface, and no chips.  Labels have some spindle marks, some contact wear and some wear around the center hole.  This vintage 78 would be a choice addition to any calypso record collection!  Record will be placed inside a standard LP mailer with cardboard flats on both sides of the record inside the mailer, and then the mailer will be packed inside a larger box with two inches of cushioning material on both sides of the mailer inside the larger box.  Winning bidder pays $4.00 media mail postage or actual priority mail postage within the U.S. I WILL SHIP WORLDWIDE - Uninsured first class international airmail postage to the UK or anyplace in Europe EXCEPT FOR GERMANY is $28.00 - PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO THE GERMAN POST AND CUSTOMS CONTINUING FAILURE TO DELIVER MY PACKAGES, I AM FORCED TO ADD AN ADDITIONAL $11.50 TO COVER REGISTERED POSTAGE WITH TRACKING AND SIGNATURE DELIVERY TO ALL SHIPMENTS GOING TO GERMANY.  I APOLOGIZE FOR THIS, BUT I CANNOT CONTINUE TO LOSE MONEY AND HAVE MY EBAY REPUTATION DAMAGED BY THE GERMAN POST AND CUSTOMS' INABILITY TO DELIVER MY PACKAGES.   Please e-mail me for postage rates to other areas outside the U.S. WINNING BIDDER PLEASE DO NOT SEND CASH - IT PROBABLY WILL NOT GET HERE!
