HERE WE HAVE A SUPERB, UK MATADOR (OLE 161-1) FIRST PRESSING (March 1996) OF GUIDED BY VOICES' "Under the Bushes Under the Stars" DOUBLE VINYL SET CONTAINING THE LP AND BONUS 45rpm 12" EP

Inspired equally by jangle pop and arty post-punk, Guided by Voices create a series of indie rock records filled with infectiously brief pop songs that fall somewhere between the British Invasion and Psych/Prog Rock.
'Under the Bushes Under the Stars' is their ninth album overall, and the final to feature the "classic" lineup including Tobin Sprout, Mitch Mitchell, and Kevin Fennell in addition to leader Robert Pollard.
The album is noted as Guided by Voices' first stab at professionalism, being recorded in 24 track rather than their customary lo-fi 4 track

LABELS: CLEAN and BRIGHT with only a handful of light spindles. They carry the "Made in the United Kingdom" text. EXCELLENT+
VINYL Visual: All surfaces are CLEAN, FRESH with pressing blemishes common on contemporary pressings - these have NO audio significance - Visually EXCELLENT
VINYL Audio: OUTSTANDING audio - CRYSTAL CLEAR, VERY SHARP, FRESH and IMMEDIATE SOUND. Pretty much PERFECT THROUGHOUT - NO sticks, NO jumps, NO scratches, NO clicks/pops and NO surface noise. Both LPs play practically AS-NEW and are graded as NEAR MINT for audio. NOT over-graded in ANY way as I use STRICT RECORD COLLECTOR grading standards (please refer to my feedback and 'about me' page)
SLEEVE: The FULLY LAMINATED gatefold cover is CLEAN and BRIGHT with practically NO edges wear and a nice CLEAN spine with all text CLEAR and BOLD. EXCELLENT+
