ADDITIONAL NOTES: Of the music he notated and harmonized under Gurdjieff’s direction between June of 1925 and May of 1927, the only recordings issued by de Hartmann before he died in 1956 were a set of six 12-inch 78 rpm phonograph records, containing twenty different pieces, all recorded at Bartok Studio in New York City between 1951 and 1953. In 1985, more extended selections of de Hartmann’s recordings were issued to the general public in a boxed set of four long-playing records


GRADE & DESCRIPTION (BOX):              NM  Near Mint condition with light corner dings and light shelf wear on the bottom of the box. Insert booklet in Mint condition.

GRADE & DESCRIPTION (RECORDS):     M  Mint condition.  All 4 records are very glossy and very clean!  They all have a very unplayed sound and appearance.

STILL SEALED
Never opened in factory sealed / distributor sealed in either clean plastic shrink wrap or self-adhere bag.

MINT
Has been opened, but is still usually flawless with no damage whatsoever. Record & cover looks and sounds new. 
NEAR MINT
Only slightest signs of handling. Record may has a non-audible flaw, labels may have a spindle trail. Minor unobtrusive surface noise are possible.  Cover may have slightest signs of normal wear. 
EXCELLENT
Record May has few spindle trail, scuff marks and signs of some wear with only "barely detectable" crackles or pops. A slight noise at the beginning and some spots are allowable.  Cover may have neatly repaired seam split is permissible, slight yellowing on edges, small markings, a corner ding are possible, a cut-out hole or notch which would be mentioned.   VERY GOOD
Vinyl may crackle, pop or make other annoying noises, but only not continuously, and not more loudly than the music being listened to. 
Cover may has heavy used cover-wear such as ring wear and split seams, large markings, slight water damage, etc. and would be mentioned.
