(BR. PHILIPS, 6328 499, 1969 [1982])
RARE BRAZILIAN STEREO PRESSING of this Tropicalia gem - Gal's best in my opinion - seriously wigged-out funky psych, plenty of breaks, lots of psychedelic weirdness - definitely one of the craziest albums to come from the Tropicalia movement, with arrangements by the legendary Duprat and guest appearances from Jorge Ben, Caetano Veloso and Gilberto Gil! You can't go wrong with this album! This is the 1982 repressing - labelled as stereo but in fact there was no stereo mix made for this album (I can only guess that there was a lot of overdubbing involved in the recording and they could not remix it) - don't let that fool you as this mix is superb - full of punch and clarity, very loud pressing! This repressing is much harder to find than the original 1969 pressing and the vinyl is much better quality too. I guarantee you will not find another in this condition for a long time so don't sleep! You will be not be disappointed! Don't miss out!
Vinyl is in EX+ condition : no visible marks, looks and sounds great, hardly played!
Sleeve is in VG(+) condition : unfortunately this is not the best examples and has some tears on the front and back, presumably from where something was stuck to the sleeve (see 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th pics for close-up details of all the tears) - funnily enough, they are not too noticeable and kind of fit in with the wacky sleeve art. There are also some creases and the front opening has a tiny tear at the centre (less than 1cm), the sleeve is still fully intact and has held up well. I am being very strict here!
