Yes it is on a major label but they started small (Statue out of Tupelo MS for instance) but make no mistake...this is as Mississippi Legendary Garage Band as it gets. While still in their teens, they were opening for acts like The Yardbirds, The Animals and one particular other English group, The Dave Clark Five. The DCF were the "headliners" at a show I attended in 1965 at the MS Coliseum and the Gants were the warmup band. The DCF just happened to have the Number ONE record in the WORLD at the time...Glad All Over...but by the time THE GANTS got through, I am surprised that the DCF even came out. Not even close...the Gants OWNED them and that was probably pretty sweet as word was the the DCF were very snobbish and unfriendly towards these guys. Sweet revenge I imagine. And you can book it....Dave Clark ain't no Sid Herring. This is a dandy track in a crisp sleeve...Unplayed, bought and stored many years ago. A great copy...
