MIDNIGHT ROCK
"Hear My Band"

Another one from the infamous CAVU label, or 'Ceiling And Visibility Unlimited'.
That might have been a hopeful concept, but the truth was the operator produced 45s that were, um, let's say, 'crude' in the nicest way. Singles by the Young Souls and the Phoenix Pyre are great but hindered by the lo-fi output. This disc, recorded in 1971, I kid you not, is a stereo effort. While still crude on the part of the group, the recording is light years improved from previous releases. Cool '66-67 era garage sound, lots of organ and fumbling guitar. Only three known copies of this disc to date.

Looks unplayed, however I grade at VG+ due to some slight noise inthe left channel, which can be heard in stereo but if you have a mono button on your set-up it is not too much apparent. Might be improved with a deep cleaning on a VPI machine
