The move signified the beginning of a new period in Numan's career, where he was free to experiment and take his sound in a new direction. The first album to be released during the Numa Years was 'Berserker', which represented the shift in Numan's sound as he moved toward a harder-edged digital aesthetic, while still honouring the analogue textures of his earlier work. The album not only showcases Numan's creative growth but also celebrates his ability to push boundaries and bring listeners on a captivating musical journey.
