Description
GARY NUMAN
PLEASURE PRINCIPLE 180g
2012
A very limited release for Gary’s first album under his own name and features the song that he is probably best known for, Cars.
Remastered from the original analogue tapes and pressed on 180g audiophile quality vinyl.
The first 2000 copies were numbered with a colour print insert. This is no (1679)
The sleeve is printed on heavyweight 350g double white board with a picture label and heavyweight inner bag.
Released late in 1979, The Pleasure Principle spawned the international hit "Cars," a Top 10 hit, and went to No. 1 here in the U.K.
A rock album with no guitars, Numan used synthesizers fed through guitar effects pedals to achieve a phased, heavy metal tone.
Self-produced in a fortnight on the cheap, The Pleasure Principle sounded like nothing else and remains one of Numan's most highly regarded efforts today.
Very hard to find now !!!
