From Prestige Records (PRLP 7083), this is FUNKY! by GENE AMMONS,
an original monaural pressing from 1957 in very nice condition. Jacket shows
professional repair work in the form of clear, heavy tape on seams (library?);
looks great and remains very sturdy (about VG+ or better). The LP rates at
least EX with a whisper of surface noise between cuts and in quiet passages;
playing surfaces are shiny and scratch-free. There is no distortion whatsoever.
Any extraneous noise does not distract from enjoyment of the music. A rather
remarkable piece!
