This one is really good! I’m not exaggerating about the backing band being garage rock, the lyrics are actually well written for one of these song poem 45s. The band is a standard rock band with electric keyboards that might be a Fender Rhoads. If you are into Halloween and monster novelty 45s here’s a cool one. Garage rock band with what sounds like Rod Keith’s gentle voice over it. This guy s really a really cute weirdo song about going up into space and becoming friends with the little green men. It’s written from a standpoint where the author is fed up with his life on earth and finds new hope among his new alien friends in outer space. I kinda hope nobody bids on this so I can keep it. THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN A HALLOWEEN SCIENCE FICTION NOVELTY ROCK HIT!
The flip side is a dower pop crooner ballad backed by the same garage rock band if you dig Rodd’s legendary ballad style.
Record graded at VG condition!
There are surface scratches, scuffs and hairline scratches. It does play with some surface noise but this this is a totally lo fi production anyway. The fidelity is still there, you hear the music and vocals clearly with some light surface noise in the background. I’m a fellow 45 collector of stuff like this, the condition or the noise isn’t too offensive and we take what we can get when it comes to old records like this.
Ships well packed with extra cardboard flats and poly bagged with a new white sleeve and cleaned. I’m a professional record vendor and fellow collector of 45s.
