Gene Russell New Direction Black Jazz LP Sealed OG Pressing 1971


BJ/1 where it all started for Russell, Dick Schory, and the storied Black Jazz label. This one’s a trio plus percussion affair in Gene’s familiar soul jazz mode. Take a look online and check out the Latin drive of “Black Orchid” or the chunky version of “My Cherie Amour” for a taste.


• OG Stereo pressing with textured sleeve

• vinyl presumed to be in at least EX condition; no signs of warpage

• sleeve graded VG+ ; no creasing, small corner dings on top and bottom of spine side; wear to top and bottom corners of opening side; shrink coming away at bottom three inches or so; PLEASE SEE PICS, ZOOM IN, & contact me for more pics if needed
