Gene Vincent, Private Detective, Mint unplayed demo

 

Here is an A-label demo copy of the great Gene Vincent, singing Private Detective with backing group the Shouts. It has never been played and it’s still in the original Columbia range-bag. Catalogue number DB 7343.

 

The labels are mint. Note that the A-side has been date-stamped 28 August 1964 by the EMI press office – this was the record’s release date.

 

The B-side, You Are My Sunshine, is also unplayed.
