Description
Here is a beautiful and rare copy of the epic Lamb Lies Down On Broadway by Genesis on a USA Atco SD 2-401 Classic Records audiophile 200 gram double vinyl LP pressing. The jacket is a beautiful near mint as new, very fresh looking, no splits, cuts, notches, rips or tears. There is only one custom inner sleeve for record one (packaging oversight at the factory)and is near mint also as new. The LP's play grade near mint minus with slight ticks here and there, more prominent on the second half of side three. There are no loud explosive pops or scratching surface noise. These 200 gram pressings are next to impossible to get dead quiet. These pressings are also notoriously known for visual marks right out of the new package. At least with this copy you know exactly what you are getting. The incredible sound more than makes up for any light ticking. I actually had to turn off my sub woofer when grading this album, 10:30 at night living in a townhouse, I thought I was going to disintegrate the walls when the Taurus Moog bass pedal parts kicked in!!!
This was the last album that Peter Gabriel participated on, a thematic concept album of a dream he had, and after seeing a re-creation of this album in concert by The Musical Box, complete with costumes and backdrop slides, a pretty demented dream at that.
