Description
On offer here is a copy of The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway by Genesis,released on the Charisma label in 1974 catalogue number CGS 101.
This is the original pressing which has some distinctive characteristics over subsequent pressings.
The unlaminated gatefold cover in in excellent condition. On inside right of the gatefold it confirms that it is "Marketed by B & C Records Limited, 37 Soho Square London W1", and that the cover is "Printed and Made by Bruin B.V. Zaandam / Holland".
The vinyl is in Excellent plus condition with no marks or visible faults, and still retains a glossy sheen to both sides.
It has "PORKY" and "PECKO" scratched in the dead wax areas.
The pink small Mad Hatter labels are in near mint condition, with the "Manufactured and Distributed by B & C Records" notice at the bottom.
The labels are in Mint condition.
The stiff card printed inners are in excelletn plus condition.
This copy has the added bonus of the "Gold Chase" contest insert which laso advertisies other Charisma LP's on the front and reverse. The entry form is not filled in and is in Mint condition (see photo)
This is a good opportunity to acquire this classic rock album which rarely turns up in this sort of condition, particularly with the rare insert.
The records will be sent in a professional record mailer manufactured by Covers 33, and will be sent with the records outside of the sleeve in a polythene cover, sandwiched between two cardboard stiffeners.
