THE LAMB LIES DOWN ON BROADWAY
(UK CHARISMA, CGS 101, 1974)
RARE ULTIMATE FIRST UK PRESSING of one of Genesis' masterpieces! This is the very first pressing, manufactured and distributed by B&C records, who ceased production in 1974 and distribution was then handed over to Phonogram in the same year, so these B&C pressings were very short lived and hardly ever turn up! It also has the first pressing matrix run-outs! This pressing is far superior to the Phonogram one in my opinion, the vinyl is a lot thicker and it just sounds great! The gatefold sleeve also has the B&C credit on the inside! Also comes complete with both inners! Great stuff! Hard to find these days! Don't miss out!
Both discs are in EX condition : both have a few light marks, none of which affect play, overall sounds great with a little light surface noise
Gatefold sleeve is in VG++ condition : light ring wear, still in nice shape
Both inner sleeves are in VG++ condition : both have some wear and light creases, no splits, first inner sleeve has some staining on both left sides, light disc imprints, still look nice
