CAREFUL MEASURES TO CHECK RECORDS:
WARPS/SKIPS/DEGRADED AUDIO: I do not sell any records that are warped, degraded, or skip! (however, almost all used records tend to be warped at least a tiny bit, but such a tiny amount doesn't cause skipping)
DISC GRADE:I describe the disc and encourage you come to your own conclusions, so please read the description. I also take pictures of the discs so you can see  them for yourselves (note that i have a stucco ceiling that reflects on the discs when i take a pic... my records don't have bumps on them...)
JACKET GRADE: A little more forgiving than my laserdisc grading, seeing as people generally took better care of their laserdiscs jackets than their record jackets. For instance, what would be a VG- cover for laserdisc may be a VG cover for a record.
CHECKING: I play all my records(atleast 10 minutes of each side if LP, whole thing if 45 7") to ensure:  -that there are no skips  -that there is no degradation (cannot be seen visually; is about how vinyl inherently degrades from each playback because of the needle of turntables, noticeable after 100+ plays)
HOWEVER:  -I do not do a playback test if my visual grade is LN or EX. Also, listings of 4.99 are not only untested at LN or EX, but also if VG. They are only tested if below VG)
ALMOST NO RECORDS I EVER SELL ARE RECENT REISSUES!  -Unless otherwise stated I usually only sell "vintage" records, meaning no mp3-cut reissues.
ALSO: -I have sold and vinyl and laserdisc for years and have collected them myself. I have the utmost care for them as I have for all media items.
SHIPPING: All records will be shipped in LP mailers, often ones I design myself.

GRADING:
NEW:  -Record is still in original shrink wrap (and the jacket is physically in the condition one would expect/"brand new" records to be in) - Record will sound pure and clean but due to nature of medium it is possible that a few barely detectable pops and clicks may be present
LIKE NEW (NEAR MINT): Record is almost perfect, it has only been played/handled a few times. It may have some very faint hint of a scratch or 2, but, if there, they were not seen when i graded (hence: like new). A VERY TINY AMOUNT of pops and clicks will be present but barely noticeable at all. This is generally going to be the same condition as a record listed as what some call "mint", a term I never use for records or laserdiscs.
EX: Record is nearly perfect. It has only been played/handled a handful of times. It will have just the faintest hit of a couple of scratches that are barely detectable; otherwise unblemished. Just a few pops and clicks here and there.
THE FOLLOWING DESCRIPTIONS ARE USED WITH G- to VG+:
Few short shallow scratches: a few hairline surface scratches that will cause a few quite clicks and pops.
Multiple short shallow scratches: These hairline surface scratches will cause a small but noticable amount of clicks and pops.
Few short shallow scratches with few shallow longer scratches: Record is in fair shape
A few hairline surface scratches with 1 or 2 deeper scratches: light scratches will cause a few quite clicks and pops. The deeper ones will cause a noticeable pop every time the needle hits them.
Multiple short shallow scratches with a few shallow longer scratches: Record has been somewhat abused, a significant amount of hairline surface scratches that will cause a small but noticable amount of clicks and pops and the deeper scratches will make a bigger pop each time the needle hits them
A few light surface scratches with quite a few deep cuts: Record has been somewhat abused, a small amount of hairline surface scratches that will cause a small but noticable amount of clicks and pops and the deeper scratches will make a bigger pop each time the needle hits them
Many light surface scratches with many deep cuts: Record has received alot of abuse, a significant amount of hairline surface scratches that will cause a small but noticeable amount of clicks and pops and alot of deeper scratches that make a bigger pop each time the needle hits them.
BAD: Record is in bad condition, it is covered in small and large scratches, a loud amount of pops and clicks will be present, probably resulting in a large crackle that will be quite distracting and awful.
VERY BAD: Record is in terrible condition, it is completely covered in scratches. If played, the listener will instantly hear a blast of horrifying clicks and pops. The actual music will be hard to hear over the constant crackling caused by the infernal scratches, probably echoing in the depths of hell.
