Description
Gentle Giant - Same - original UK 1970 LP - Vertigo Swirl label 6360 020
This is an earliest possible 1st pressing with 1Y//1 and 2Y//1 matrixes. Misspelling of track 3 'Alucard' which instead reads 'Alcard' on label (see pic 3). 'VO PRICE CODE' on back of gatefold sleeve.
Very rare LP and extremely early pressing.
Complete with die-cut poly-lined spiral inner - some yellowing inside inner due to age.
Matt Gatefold picture sleeve has some edge wear but remains in excellent condition for age.
Vinyl has some light hairline marks to indicate play but again in overall very good to excellent condition.
Label on record is nice and bright (sorry for pics which have come out very dark). Small yellow mark on side B / completely unblemished Vertigo swirl on side A.

FURTHER TO A NUMBER OF QUESTIONS I CAN CONFIRM THAT THE FULL MATRIX NUMBER ON THE RECORD IS AS FOLLOWS:
SIDE A - 1Y//1 420 1 1 1
SIDE B - 2Y//1 420 1 1 3
Please note, the second '1' within the stamper matrix on side A is heavily stamped over a '3' which presumably was originally stamped in error?
I believe this information will assist in confirming this to be a UK 1st pressing.

Having received an email from an interested collector, I have been asked to check what numbers appear on the bottom left of the inner sleeve. These numbers are '1070' which I believe denote a printing date for the inner of October 1970. This is of course in line with the original release date of this record in November of the same year.
