Before becoming famous as the lead singer of AC/DC, Brian Johnson began his career with the little know North UK band Geordie.  Geordie did manage to get a few top 20 hits and this, their first album, was a success, but after this the band went into decline and Johnson left ultimately to join AC/DC.

This -1/-1 first UK press copy is a hard to find album as this was their debut, not many were originally pressed and since they didn't have many hits there was little demand.

It's near impossible though to find a copy in such superb a condition as this one.  The edges of the vinyl are sharp, this hasn't been handled much, there is just a couple of spindle marks on one side.  The vinyl is glossy and shines under a lamp, and even when viewed close up under a powerful halogen light only some of the lightest, faintest marks can be seen, and which do not effect playback.

It plays clear, bright, practically flawlessly!  It sounds as though it has barely been played!

The sleeve corners are sharp, the spine is straight and intact and the title is clear.  The laminate clear, clean.  There is very little sign of storage wear.  The only thing I can fault it on is just a few light creases, and just a couple of small spots of laminate lift.

Overall a superb condition copy, and an absolute must for any serious collector of AD/DC!

Postage Insurance

Basic royal mail services provide £46 insurance cover for loss or damage and this is adequate for many items.  If an item sells for above this amount than a special delivery option must be selected, failure to do so would mean that in the event of loss or damage I will be able to refund only £46 and P&P costs.

Payments

Paypal is prefered as it is quicker and easier for both seller and buyer, but I am happy to receive payment by cheque or postal order. Items cannot be dispatched until payment is received and cleared.

Grading

I use the Rare Record Guide grading system detailed below:

MINT The Record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as a lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.

EXCELLENT The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and an occasional light scatch. Normal wear and tear on the cover and contents without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deterioted, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.

POOR The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

Returns within seven days of receipt are accepted and a full refund will be given provided that the item is returned in the same condition as when it was sent and the problem arises from an inaccurate description or other mistake on my part.
