Thick polystyrene protection inside box and around the wooden crate itself. I have opened the cardboard box and inspected the item, only to ensure there is no damage and everything is in mint condition. The items in the wooden crate itself are still wrapped and sealed and have not been opened. Everything is in mint condition.

Sorry to be so pedantic about this, but as a genuine purchaser of this truly remarkable item, I am sure you will understand. 
So, having got the boring stuff out of the way, here is the description that accompanies the release of this item. There are various youtube films of the box being opened by various "reviewers" which show exactly what you will be receiving. 
I am led to believe only 3000 copies in this format were available in the UK. Released on 6th August.
Buying this from the USA or Europe will cost you a fortune in postage. This is a very heavy item. In it's packaging it is so large it is actually difficult to lift because of it's size and weight. Once opened the wooden crate itself and contents are more manageable and easier to lift.
This is a truly lovely item for any Beatles/George Harrison fan and although I am no expert I can only imagine it increasing in value as they become more scarce.
I've always been a George fan and believe this album was the finest solo work of any of The Beatles. I have heard some of the remixes and the rarer stuff included in this set. Quite a few are George playing the songs that made it onto the album, just on acoustic guitar, playing them to Phil Spector on Day 1 and Day 2 of the sessions apparently. Really lovely and very interesting to see how the songs later developed. Very good quality recordings. Some very good alternate takes included as well. No "dodgy" bootleg quality recordings here!
The models of George and the gnomes in 1/6 scale are really well made and make a nice display. The quality of books - particularly the top one - is exceptional. Some really nice photos, inserts and text. Many of the pages are embossed. A lot of time and care has obviously gone into producing this whole package. In celebration of the 50th Anniversary, George Harrison's, All Things Must Pass, is being celebrated with a suite of new releases, highlighted by the limited Uber Deluxe Edition, which presents a stunning new mix of the classic album by Grammy Award-winning mixer/engineer Paul Hicks, overseen by executive producer Dhani Harrison, which includes the album on 8LP and 5CD/BR housed in an artisan designed wooden crate, accompanied by two elegantly designed books paying homage to Harrison's love for gardening and nature.

• A second 44-page book chronicling the the making of All Things Must Pass through extensive archival interviews with notes.

• Wooden bookmark made from a felled Oak tree (Quercus Robur) in George's Friar Park.

• Limited edition illustration by musician and artist Klaus Voorman.

• A copy of Paramahansa Yogananda's "Light from the Great Ones"
