This is the 2001 remastered deluxe 3LP VINYL RECORD boxset. Condition overall is near mint; there is a slight mark to the bottom corner of the box (see photo 12) and a very faint hairline mark on LP1, side 1. The rest have some very faint sleeve removal marks but so difficult to see unless under bright light.
The records have been cleaned and stored in mofi achieve antistatic and anti-scratch sleeves as per photos.
Records have been playtested and the sound is perfect to me. Being vinyl there is the odd noise but nothing caused by the playing surface, could be static. Personally I heard virtually nothing but the fantastic remastered sound.
All the tracks on “All Things Must Pass” (2001) were remastered and/or remixed by George. He says in the booklet that on some tracks he wanted to “….liberate some of the songs from the big production that seemed appropriate at the time, but now seem a bit over the top with the reverb in the wall of sound”. I guess he means Phil Spector’s production work on the original. There are no hard feelings though as in the booklet George pays tribute to “….the amazing Phil Spector, who produced so many fantastic records in the sixties. He helped me so much to get this record made….God bless you Phil”. For more information on the complete story of the 2001 reissue see wikipedia
This is now firmly out of print and includes bonus tracks not found on the original. It was also released on Georges own record label GnOM Records as opposed to Apple records that released the original.
Disc matrix for side one has been captured, so you can verify this is the original 2001 pressing. The original barcode sticker is still on the rear of the box as per the photos.
I have been as truthful and honest as possible with my description. This boxset is becoming hard to find these days in this condition, the only reason I ask parting with it is that I need to reduce the size of my private collection for personal reasons, so I hope it goes to an owner that will appreciate and take care of it as I have done.
