Description
Very presentable copy of George Harrison's classic triple album from 1970. This is one of the earliest copies as the box is made in the UK, although the inner sleeves and the poster are made in the USA! The catalogue number is Apple STCH 639. Matrices are YEX 817-1U/YEX 818-1U/YEX 819-1U/YEX 820-1U/YEX 821-1U/YEX 822-1U, indicating that the records are first pressings.
Box VG+- In generally very good shape for its age, with the usual discolouration to the cover photo. The box hinge is very close to coming apart and needs to be handled very carefully! The inside of the box is in great condition.
Poster VG+ In very good shape but there are a couple of small holes in George's beard!
Inners VG Not bad for their age. Some handling wear and creasing, as well as some seam splits.
Labels Ex All very clean with minimal spindle traces.
Records Record 1 is visually Ex-, would be a clear Ex but for 2 light scratches on Side 2 Track 5. These do not have much impact on playback beyond a couple of light ticks. Record 2 is also visually Ex-, just a couple of light surface marks right at the beginning of Side 4. Record 3 is pretty much perfect and visually grades as Ex/Ex+. All three records have a great shine to the vinyl. The audio is excellent throughout, with some patches of crackle which you might expect from records which are 47 years old.
