Description
A single-sided 10" George M. Cohan 78 from an estate sale, The Small Town Gal, Victor 60052. Also, another 78 on Columbia with 2 songs written by Cohan. Please see photos for details.
Cohan was portrayed by James Cagney in 1942's Yankee Doodle Dandy (first Best Actor performance for a musical).
The surfaces tend to look like the labels. The previous collector typically marked the record sleeve with a red X, sometimes with X+ or X-, which I'm guessing had to do with the condition. I have no 78 player, so I can't verify the condition beyond that guess.
