Description
Original 10" issue with light blue and white label, red text. Produced by Gus(Stataris) Grant. Recorded in 1951 in NY. Leader, Wallington, piano; Roach, drums; Curly Russell, bass. 8 tracks (5 Wallington original tunes) Burt Goldblatt cover art. One of the essential originators of bebop. Very rare edition.
Cover: VG+ 1" split on the bottom edge athe the insert edge. Light soil from ordinary handling and light aging.
Record: Mint (-) Visually shows no wear. There are 2 or 3 very light, short surface rub marks . These are barely visible. The record appears to have been played only a very few times with care. Possibly minor groove noise for 1 or 2 revolutions. This is practically inaudible. Fine quality early 10" pressing and fine sound. I have added the (-) to adjust for the minor noise but essentially the record plays like new. Audibly checked.
