Description
Georges Enesco (Enescu) plays Bach violin Sonatas (and Partitas) - Continental
Well, I don't really need to introduce these records I guess, as they are quite famous and rare. These are the original Continental prints CLP 104, 105 and 106, recorded in 1948-49 and released in 1950. These are NOT the re-issued Japanse pressings !!
Records are in reasonably good shape I think, but there's some issues, which I will try to discribe as accurate as possible.
Especially in the beginning of some sides there's some sort of pulsating greying on the records.. don't really know what caused it, but might be a press issue I think. It dissapears quite quickly and the rest of the side sounds great ! On the B-side of the first record, there's some additional surface noise between the tracks, caused by numerous cueing I would think. It was probably the previous owner's favorite side ;-)
I have recorded the records to give you an idea of what they sound like, that's the most important issue of course. Note that the records will probably sound better after a decent cleaning. So here's some samples of each side, and a description of the condition :
(please take your time to read and hear before bidding)
