Net proceeds from this sale will support the Overwatch Alliance Veterans Foundation, as supporting Veterans was a longtime cause that was close to Jan’s heart.

45 RPM Record of “(Ghost) Riders InThe Sky” Personally Signed to Jan Howard by Country Music Hall of Fame member Johnny Cash
Jan Howard sang backing vocals on many of Johnny Cash’s recordings including “Ring Of Fire,” “Daddy Sang Bass,” and “(Ghost) Riders In The Sky.”
Johnny Cash recorded “(Ghost) Riders In The Sky” in early 1979 at the Jack Clement Recording Studio in Nashville. It became one of his most successful and well-known hits. The flip side of the Columbia record (which is the side where Johnny personally signed it “To Jan, God Bless You, John”) was his own composition “I’m Gonna Sit On The Porch And Pick On My Old Guitar” which was recorded n 1979 and includes future Hall of Fame member Ricky Skaggs playing the fiddle.
Included with the record is an 8x10 color photo of Johnny Cash and Jan Howard, an original 8x10 color publicity photo of Jan Howard, and a small card to document the item is from Jan Howard’s estate.
