Description
This is the original deep-groove RVG-stamped pressing of Gigi Gryce “Rat Race Blues” on New Jazz NJLP 8262. The record appears to be in near-new condition, with Side 1 having a brilliant luster, while Side 2 is slightly duller; however, both sides play clean and crisp, without any of the background hiss that is often found on New Jazz pressings. The laminated cover is bright and clean throughout; small dings at top corners, with small lamination flaking; the top seam has a 1 ¼” seam split at the center; the bottom left corner shows slight wear; the bottom seam shows lamination flaking at the opening, the spine has two small lamination flakes at the top. Personnel include Richard Williams, Richard Wyands, Julian Euell, and Mickey Roker. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PAYPAL. Please do not bid unless you are comfortable providing credit card information directly. The “Blue Note Records” book – “ A Guide for Identifying Original Pressings” is now available on eBay.
